I look forward to Friday mornings for the sheer fact that 1. it is Friday (duh) and 2. Kristen Dos Santos ’ Lost Redux on Eonline. So I get to work this morning and do all of my work related stuff first. (That is because I am a good employee and know that if someone questions what I am doing I have to be able to tell them that the work side of work is done.) So I get to the Watch with Kristen website only to see that she and her assistant are sick and they are leaving the Redux up to us. While I do really want her job, not even joking, she has more insight on the shows than we do and can provide ME that information. Something, anything to hold me over until nest week. But I digress.

Since she has provided us with a challenge, one that I think I would be good at, I am going to attempt to do my own Lost Redux. So if you’re a fan of Lost, or not, feel free to enjoy my first attempt at journalism!

WHAT WE LEARNED

Timeline: Based on the newspaper we see Jack looking at in the beginning, this Flash Forward takes place in August 2006. In relationship to the other episodes we have seen so far, this takes place sometime after Kate’s trial and before the Season 3 Finale airport scene.
Jack and Kate play house: HE PROPOSED! Ok, I had to get that out. I do not know about you but I was excited. I have since resigned my self to the fact that Kate will not end up with Sawyer, so I am learning to love her with Jack. As soon as Jack tripped on the toy in the kitchen I knew Kate and Aaron were close by. I was sad to see there bliss so short lived. Is it to much to ask Darlton (That’s the nickname for produces Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse) for one flash forward with a happy ending? Apparently so. So it begins the downward spiral of Jack. You know the one that leads him to the airport with Kate. And is it just me, or was that really cruel of Jack to question Kate as Aaron’s mother. Yes, we all know that he does not really belong to her, but it seems to me she really loves this kid and has fully taken on the role of mother.
Kate still has secrets: Who was Future Kate on the phone with? And what big errand did she need to run for Sawyer. One secret that never really was a secret was cleared up, poor Juliet now knows that Jack really loves Kate, not her. That was a sad scene, until she told Jack she knew he was awake.
People on LOST do not really die: Hurley sees Charlie. Often. Granted Hurley in an asylum, so he may not be the best person to learn this from. But Jack sees his father. The one who was in the casket in the bottom of the plane when in crashed on the Island . Claire and Miles apparently, to saw Jack’s father too. So that leaves us wondering, are they really dead? And more importantly, when do I get to see Charlie again?
Keamey is a meanie: I do not like this Keamey character. I am fully sure that is his fault Alex and Karl are dead. And yes they seem to be really dead as we say their decomposing bodies buried in the dirt. And we also watched him kill Alex at point blank range last week. What are his motives? And what is he really looking for?
Sawyer being responsible?: How fun is it watching Sawyer look after Claire in the absence of Charlie? Oh and the restraining order he put on Miles was hilarious, that is until it backfired. This leads us to …
Claire is Mia: Why would she walk off with her father, in the middle of the night? Why was Aaron found alone in a tree wrapped in a very white blanket as opposed to his normal blue blanket? What has happened to our beloved Claire?

WHAT IS TO COME
Note: This is normally where Kristen puts in spoilers, but since I am not her and I don’t know any, I am just going to put in my speculation on what is to come.

Claire is a goner: If the fact that Claire is missing is not the end of her, her demise will come shortly there after. I cannot, in anyway see how she would willingly give her son to Kate with her being alive and well on the Island . Unless of course, they just cannot find her and once Sawyer and Miles make it back to the beach Kate just takes care of him?
Poor Jack: I really hope future Jack snaps out of  it soon. Due to the “You aren’t even related to him” comment, I can assume he finds out that Claire is his sister. Maybe that is part of his rage that he found out to late. I think it would also help his cause if his dead father stopped showing up, that would drive anyone mad.
Charlie Lives again: Not that I know of, but it is wishful thinking. You know Darlton, if you are going to have Hurley see him you really should let us ALL see him. We miss our Charlie!
Aaron needs to get back to the Island:  I think a new twist that is going to be thrown out there is that it is Aaron who really needs to get back. They have always said that Aaron is a central part to the story so I could see this going down. Speaking of Aaron, if the date from this episode is right that in it August 2006. Aaron was born after September 22, 2004 , than he is less than 2 years old. That boy looked older than two. Could that be something or is it just bad casting? We may never know!

So there you have it. My first stab at journalism. I think I did well. I would love to hear your thought and also any other comments you have about the episode!
